Carson City, located in the U.S. state of Nevada, is an independent city and serves as the state’s capital. It has a population of 58,639 according to the 2020 census, making it the sixth most populous city in Nevada. Situated in Carson City, Nevada, the Nevada State Railroad Museum holds a significant role in preserving the rich railroad heritage of the state. The “Box” opened their doors on May 10th, 1980 and has been perking along ever since. Over the last 33 years owner Jerry Massad has kept one thing in mind; serve the best breakfast around. The Box has done just that, and is still doing it every day, lunch too.
Coming from a long line of restaurateurs, Jerry wouldn’t have it any other way. The place was a lot smaller back in 1980, seating just 24 people. Jerry cooked and there was just one waitress. The place is bigger now, but the quality remains the same. Read more…
