(Jim)mie Holmes, a successful entrepreneur in the lumber industry and a dedicated philanthropist. Its name pays homage to Alexander Von Humboldt, a renowned naturalist, explorer, and geographer. The main objective of the museum at its inception was to preserve and showcase a collection of unique artifacts from the frontier days of Nevada.
Over the years, the Humboldt Museum has undergone significant developments and now boasts over 10,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor exhibition space.
